Our preparatory programme brings in opportunities for different styles of learning with special focus on blossoming intelligences. Leaming of Languages, Mathematics and Environment is done through activities centered on observation and discovery and the students are empowered with life skills, critical thinking and creative skills. At Vistara School collaborative learning is a regular feature while children learn to work together as well as independently. Through yearly progression, the curriculum broadens with increase in cognitive challenges. Teachers ensure Whole Class Leaming that assesses and reflects understanding and appreciation of the core values in life. The role of mother tongue in education and regional language with be the primary mode for students up to grade fifth. At the end of the preparatory Years Programme, the students confidently make a foray into the Middle Years.


English Language & Text: In English Language children at this stage learn the phonic sounds which are related to accent of 6 to 8 letter words and gradually it goes on for bigger words and sentences. Where as in text they start reading and learning the big paragraphs and question & answer from the prescribed text books.


Mathematics: In Mathematics children grasp the knowledge of Numerals from 100-10,000. They become slowly proficient in Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division of big numbers. They may be able to arrange numbers in ascending and descending order.


Environmental Studies: Environmental Studies means to acquire the knowledge of nature where they study about forest, mountain, rivers and the surrounding. They get understand the a desert is different from a mountain. Rivers and oceans both have water but they are different.


Art & Craft: How to draw the objects and color them with different concepts of coloring. Craft would be concerning with Origami (paper folding- Japanese Art).


Poems: Children read and learn poems from the prescribed text books.


Field Trip: Visiting Botanical Garden, Post Office, Blind School, Historical places and their importance.
